Rasdhoo Island Inn Guest House

The vision we developed for Rasdhoo Island Inn guesthouse synthesized traditional design elements with a modern approach while still keeping the distinctive character of a tropical island dwelling.

This three story guesthouse comprises of 17 guest rooms and 2 staff rooms. Our design plays to the strength of the stunning location overlooking the sunset beach and a close by tropical island. The layout is such that it maximizes the view and absorbs every last ray of the setting sun into the rooftop restaurant and spa which face the sea.

There is nothing that says tropical vacation in a guesthouse as much as an outdoor shower. Our responsive design incorporates this concept in all guest rooms, which have open showers with a clear view of the sky no matter which floor you are on.

Charrette Studio assessed the location and incorporated the owner’s vision and the company’s brand image to design a visually and functionally pleasing dwelling that is the first of its kind in AA Rasdhoo, Maldives.
